Willard "Bob" Darnell

Willard Robert Darnell II, also lovingly known as “Bob”, was born on October 28, 1940 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son of the late Willard Robert Darnell I and Margurite Ann (Pinkley) Darnell. Bob passed away on November 11, 2023, having reached the age of 83.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife of 65 years, Faye (Cartee) Darnell; children: Bob Darnell III (wife, Cheryl), Theresa Betle (husband, Ken); eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jesse and Mabel Cartee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Interment and final prayers will be held in Lost Creek Cemetery in Potosi following the service.
