It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Suzanne Trese Melvin, 62, of Farmington, Missouri. Suzanne passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis. She was born on March 8, 1962 in Dearborn, Michigan, a daughter of the late Edward Tilson and Marie (Prouty) Tilson.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her husband, David Mullins, whom she shared 25 years of life and love with; loving mom to her two children: Douglas Melvin (Fiancé, Tamara Allen) and Angela Nichols; her four grandchildren that she adored: Braylee Nichols, Dakota Nichols, Breanna Melvin and Dylan Melvin; and her brother, Robert Tilson.
Suzanne exemplified the life of a true servant. She lived to be a blessing to so many. Throughout her career, Suzanne worked for Pyramid Home Health and currently worked as a volunteer coordinator for Preferred Hospice Care of Farmington. Suzanne loved caring for the patients and their families. In addition to hospice care, she also volunteered along with David, delivering for meals on wheels. Above all, Suzanne loved and cherished her family. She always wanted to make sure their needs were met and everyone was taken care of. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids. Suzanne found joy tending to her home and loved seeing the beautiful outcome from her hard work in her flowerbeds. Faithful, kind, gentle, and beautiful inside and out are just a few attributes of Suzanne. The impact she made will forever be held in the hearts of all those she loved and cared for.
In honoring Suzanne’s life, the family invites you to join them for a time of visitation on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 3 p.m. until the time of her service at 5 p.m. held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, MO 63664. Memorial contributions, if so desired, may be made to Preferred Hospice Care, 810 Progress Drive, Farmington, MO 63640. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. Suzanne’s funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
