Sandra Kay (Koepp) Torok was born on August 27, 1950, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she departed this life on Sunday, November 17, 2024. She leaves behind a tapestry of love and memories woven through her deep devotion to family, friends, and the beautiful life she created.
From her earliest years, Sandra embraced life with an open heart and a fierce passion for the things she cherished most. Her joyous spirit was evident in her love for travel, particularly her cherished visits to St. Augustine beach, where the gentle waves were but a backdrop to her many memories. Sandra’s love for the holiday season was unparalleled; she transformed her home into a festive haven, pouring her heart into decorations that filled the air with warmth and joy. One of her greatest delights perhaps came from baking, where her kitchen blossomed into a paradise of sweet treats and cherished family recipes. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flower gardens.
Sandra was a nurturing soul with a profound connection to her family. She is survived by her beloved mother, May Lee, her sons David Carlin (Sue) and Steve Carlin (Kim), along with her step-children Terri Goebel (Eric) and Mike Torok (Katie). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Evan (Addie), Lacey (Josh), Jenna (Jacob), Zoie (Mac), Isaac (Hannah), Stephanie (Nathan), Miles, Amelia, and Annabelle, as well as her step-grandchildren: Meagan, Maddie, and Stephen. The life she cultivated will be represented through her great-grandchildren Emma, Logan, Aria, Asher, and Charlotte, alongside Damien, who carry forward her spirit of joy.
Sandra was also surrounded by a loving family of siblings, including Jerry Koepp (Gayle), Gloria Dunfee (George), and Debbie Varnum (John). Her generosity extended to her many nieces, nephews, and a wealth of extended family and friends who will forever remember her laughter, kindness, and love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Leroy Koepp, and her husband, Ernie Torok.
In remembering Sandra, we celebrate a life filled with adventure, love, and sweet moments that highlight the beauty of family ties. Her legacy will live on in each one of us, a testament to a remarkable woman whose kindness knew no bounds.
There will be no formal services at this time. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of DeClue Funeral Home.
