Rosetta Mae Cain Williams, a loving mom and granny, was born on February 28, 1940 in Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter to the late Harry DeClue and the late Pearl (Politte) DeClue. Rose, as she was known by her family and friends, went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 31, 2024 having reached the age of 84 years, 6 months and 3 days.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her two children: Carol Williams and husband, Stanley; Steve Cain and wife Crystal; her thirteen grandchildren: Jennifer Rugh and husband, Robert Jr., Heather Finley, Johnathan Cain, Steven Cain Jr., Shawn Cain and wife Samantha, Hailee, Walker, Hanna, McKenzie, Gavin, Isabella, Payton and Parker Cain. Rose also leaves behind, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Rose was preceded in by her parents, Harry and Pearl DeClue; her first husband, Edward Cain; second husband, Loren Williams; Son, John Edward Cain; three siblings: Betty Cain, Louise McAntire, and Harry DeClue Jr.; and five half siblings: Gene Peppers, Bud Peppers, Marie Lyons, Blanche Lovelace, and Sarah Peppers.
Rose, first and foremost loved Jesus and studying God’s word. In her early years, Rose attended New Diggins Pentecostal Church. Rose enjoyed life and having fun. Her smile and laughter could light up a room. She loved going to Branson for “Girls Trips”. Rose came from a musically inclined family where you could often hear the sounds of music playing and singing. Rose found so much joy in singing along with her family. She was a hard worker, always making sure her family was cared for before herself. She sewed many things through the years for her kids, from Halloween costumes to barbie doll clothes. In addition, Rose always looked forward to family gatherings and cooking some of her most desired dishes, which included her lemon meringue and coconut cream pies and potato salad. Rose will forever be remembered for being resilient and that she loved with all of her heart.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:30 am until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 pm, held at DeClue Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Greenlee will be officiating, assisted by Elder Mike Jarvis. Interment and final prayers will follow at New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
