Roland Paul Warden of Potosi, Missouri, was born on July 17, 1933 in Potosi, Missouri, to the late William Joseph Warden and Mayme Pearl (Becker) Warden. Paul went to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 19, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-eight years, seven months, and two days.
On January 14, 1956, Paul was united in marriage to Donna Nipper at Brother Leeman Rawson’s home in Irondale, and they shared sixty-six years together.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna Warden; daughters: Paula (Steve Jr) DeClue, Jackie (Mick) Carlyon, Ashley (Bruiser) Missey; grandchildren: Brooke DeClue, William (Paige) DeClue, Preston DeClue, Mickenzie Carlyon, Chase Carlyon, Macy Carlyon, Morgan Carlyon, Kenley Missey, and Bryier Missey; great-grandchildren: Lane, Caden, Colton, Liam; sister, Ruth Crew; sisters-in-law: Betty Warden and Sharon Warden.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings: Leona Camillo, Mildred Nettles, Bill Warden, George Warden, Eugene Warden; great-granddaughter, Oakley Rose; father and mother-in-law: Claude and Lula Nipper.
Anybody who had the privilege to know Paul, knew that he loved joking around with people. He knew how to always bring a smile to your face. Paul loved life because he loved Jesus. He taught Sunday school for over 50 years and attended Pine Valley Full Gospel Church. Paul and Donna built a special life together and they were inseparable. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, grand kids, hunting, fishing, and farming. Paul also served proudly in the United States Army.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 9 to 11 am.
A Funeral Service for Paul will be conducted on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 11 am with Pastor Terry Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery where Paul will receive full military honors by the United States Army and VFW post 6947.
