Rebecca Ann Dickinson, affectionately known as Becky, was born on February 9, 1943, and entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the age of 82. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ray Thomas Dickinson and Virginia (McMahan) Dickinson, whose legacy of love and dedication she carried throughout her life.
Becky graduated from Potosi High School in 1961. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Point. Becky was a multitalented individual, celebrated for her exceptional skills and creative spirit. She excelled in numerous activities, including sewing, cooking, gardening, and knitting. Her passion for traditional methods infused her work with a distinctive charm; she embraced the joys of life by preparing meals from scratch and sewing her own clothes. This dedication to doing things the "original way" defined her character and made her a remarkable figure in the eyes of family and friends.
Above all else, Becky held a profound love for Jesus, which guided her throughout her life. Family was paramount to her, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Among her most treasured companions was her little dog, Bubba, who brought her endless joy and comfort.
Her legacy is carried on by her two brothers, Donald R. Dickinson and Robert D. Dickinson, as well as her sister-in-law, Rita Dickinson. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever remember her vibrant spirit and loving nature.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Virginia "Ma Gin" Dickinson; her siblings: Dorothy Jane (Donald) Wilson, Ronald Jean (Mary) Dickinson, William Dickinson, Walter (Linda) Dickinson, and sister-in-law June Dickinson. The memory of her kindness, creativity, and devotion will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her, until the day they are reunited with her in Heaven.
