Raymond Brian "Ray" Durbin, of Ironton, Missouri, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on October 28, 1956, Ray was the son of the late Raymond Durbin and Annabelle (Soden) Durbin.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979, where he was stationed in Okinawa and California. Following his military service, he owned and operated his own carpet cleaning business for several years. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending countless hours working on cars. He took great pride in his treasured 1973 Ford Torino.
On August 23, 1982, Ray married the love of his life, Dawn Edmond. Together they shared nearly 44 years of unwavering love, devotion, and countless cherished memories. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family, whom he loved deeply.
Ray will be forever remembered and dearly missed by his beloved wife, Dawn Durbin; his three sons, Ray Durbin Jr. (Katie), Brian Durbin, and Joshua Durbin; his seven cherished grandchildren, Aliah, Audrey, Summer, Ben, Braelyn, Raelyn, and Maverick; his two great-grandchildren, Carson and Camden; his sister, Cheryl Whitney; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Covington, Darlene Mahfood, Kevin Edmond and wife Madonna, Dewayne Edmond, and Greg Edmond and wife Alicia; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Annabelle Durbin; his beloved daughter, Amber Durbin; his daughter-in-law, Crystal Durbin; his brother, Greg Durbin; and many other dear relatives.
A graveside service celebrating Ray's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Revelle Cemetery in Cherokee Pass, Missouri. A brief viewing will be held at the cemetery beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Rev. Dwight Jones will officiate. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Marine Corps.
Funeral arrangements for Ray were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
