Randy Pickett

Randy Paul Pickett of Cadet, Missouri, was born on October 17, 1957, in Tiff, Missouri, a son of John Pickett, and the late Helen Leona (Nash) Pickett. Randy passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, having reached the age of 65.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Lauri Pickett; father, John Pickett; children: Camillia (Ron) Mason, Randy (LaDonna) Pickett Jr., Sarah (Bryan) Whitaker, Joseph Pickett, Rachael Nicholson, Shawn (Jamie) Barker; grandchildren: Dawson, Alyssa, McKenzie, Austin, Colton, Caden, Devon, Allie, Parker, Quinton, Brayden, Henry, Kassie, Kiersten, Kristopher, Karson, Kendall, Brody, Jase, Kallie, Ashton; great-grandchildren: Greyson, McKaden, Corleigh, and Luna; siblings: Michael (Miranda) Pickett, John (Carla) Pickett, Jerry Pickett, Laura (Danny) Becker, George (Patti) Pickett.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Pickett; stepson, Zachary Barker; siblings: Judy Pickett, David “Buddy” Pickett; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Gary Hoffman and Carol Hoffman.

Randy enjoyed deer hunting, feeding the deer, and fishing. He served as a custodian for Kingston School for 3 years then worked for Potosi R-3 School for 20 years, until his retirement in 2022. He loved his family and attended every event that any of his grandchildren were involved in. Randy enjoyed grilling and caring for his family. He had a passion for music, especially playing guitar. Randy recently accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He loved attending Reviving Hope Church of God with his family.

Visitation will be Monday, July 17, 2023, from 11:30 am until the time of his service at 2 pm, held at DeClue Funeral Home. Pastor Matt Woods will officiate his service. Interment will follow at Redbud Memorial Gardens.
