Nancy Ruth Fielding of Potosi, Missouri, formerly of High Ridge, was born on January 26, 1949, to the late Edward Lee Lawrence and Rita Mary (Mohan) Lawrence. She departed this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Georgian Gardens, having reached the age of 77.

On September 17, 1971, Nancy was united in marriage to Lindsey “Lee” Roy Fielding. Together, they shared nearly 37 years together.

Nancy grew up in Indiana and graduated from Pendleton High School with the Class of 1967. She later worked as a dispatcher for Mayflower United Moving Company for several years.

Nancy found enjoyment in the simple things that made life her own. She loved garage sales, shopping, listening to gospel music, and watching musicals—especially Hello, Dolly!. She enjoyed watching the news and could often be found with her cigarettes and a cup of coffee. These familiar comforts, along with her unique personality and sense of self, will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Those who remain to treasure Nancy’s memory include her three children, Elizabeth "Beth" Jackson and husband, David; Brian Fielding; and Graham Fielding and wife, Tracy; her six grandchildren, Nora Buss, Robert Jackson, John Jackson, Stephanie Carter, Anderson Fielding, and Hamilton Fielding; as well as her great-grandchildren and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Fielding; and her brothers, Edward Lee Lawrence Jr. and Francis “Frank” Lawrence.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi. Visitation will resume Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the time of her funeral service at 10:00 a.m., held at the DeClue Chapel. Interment and final prayers will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
