Mary Lou Akers

Mary Lou (Malcom) Akers of Valley Park, Missouri, was born on October 17, 1928, a daughter of the late Alva Malcom and the late Grace (Strode) Malcom. Mary Lou passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 having reached the age of ninety-two years, one month and twenty-six days.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her sister, Henryetta Lindley; brother, Bobby L Malcom and wife Donna. Mary Lou is also survived by a total of 24 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gracin Akers; siblings: Ned Malcom, Posey Entress and Dorcus Call. She is also preceded in death by many dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11 am at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery with Pastor Beth Allen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Caledonia United Methodist Church.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
