Lowell Kenneth McMillen, a lifelong resident of Washington County and a respected businessman, departed this life on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the age of 87.

Lowell was born on August 22, 1939, in Shirley, Missouri, a son of the late Virgil Kenneth McMillen and Lena (Wilson) McMillen. Throughout his life, Lowell was known for his dedication to his family, his work, and the community he called home.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Jane (McClain) McMillen of Caledonia; his children, Jackie Rosener (husband, Patrick), John McMillen (wife, Genelita), Jeffrey McMillen, Diana Cosby, Kerry Rolens, David Rolens (wife, Sue), and Kelly Sharpton (husband, James); grandchildren Madison, Abbie, and Gracie McMillen, Emma Heifner (husband, Thadeus), John Lowell McMillen, and Aika McMillen; two great-grandchildren Waylon Robison and Kimberlyn Hedge; as well as numerous additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lowell also leaves behind his siblings, Phyllis Ferguson (husband, Dean) and Persia Hummel, along with nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his daughter, Karla Siekmann; daughter-in-law, Kim McMillen; granddaughter, Addeline Rosener; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Nellie McClain.

Lowell’s life was defined by the love he shared with his family, the relationships he built throughout his years at Potosi Auto Supply, and the lasting memories he leaves with all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Lowell served his country in the United States Navy from June 18, 1957 to August 21, 1960.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 9:00 AM and continue until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 AM, held at the DeClue Chapel.

Interment and final prayers will follow at Shirley Union Cemetery.
