Kenneth Wayne Akers, 70, of Ironton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. He was born on June 22, 1956, in Ironton, Missouri, a son to the late Kenneth Akers and Helen (Gillam) Akers.

Kenneth was a simple man who found joy in the things he loved and in the time spent outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting matches, and in his younger years, he could often be found behind the wheel, racing cars. Kenneth spent many years working as a laborer for B & C Metals, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

Those who remain to cherish Kenneth’s memory include his daughter, Trina (Akers) Yount; his two brothers, Jim Akers and Joseph Gallaher and Katherine; his sister-in-law, Sherry Akers; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings, Gayla Henry, Rick Akers, David Akers, and Kenneth Ray Akers.

In keeping with Kenneth’s simple nature, there will be no formal services held at this time.
