Joshua A. Shasteen

Joshua A. Shasteen, age 45 of Potosi, MO, formerly of Collinsville, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Mercy Hospice South – de Greef House in St. Louis, MO surrounded by his family.

He was born June 13, 1979 in Maryville, IL to the late Dennis and Carolyn (nee Bono) Shasteen. He graduated from Collinsville High School, Class of 1997, and Calc Institute of Technology in 2004. Joshua worked for Eyecare Partners, LLC as an IT specialist.

Joshua enjoyed restoring old tools, making paracord items, funny socks, and gaming. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Carolyn Shasteen; a daughter, Izabelle Shasteen; and an aunt, Ellen Shasteen.

Surviving is his loving wife, Chandra (nee Gette) Shasteen, whom he married July 28, 2001; three beloved children: Laila, Serah and Jared; a brother, Nicholas Shasteen; two uncles: Gary (Nina) Shasteen and Larry Shasteen; two aunts: Sharon (Charlie) Sidebottom and Marilyn Bono; multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, and friend to many.

A Memorial Gathering for Joshua will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 from 4:30 to 6 pm held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, MO 63664. A Memorial Service will follow beginning at 6 pm. Local Arrangements provided by DeClue Funeral Home.
