John Henry Pickett

John Henry Pickett of Cadet, Missouri, was born on October 4, 1929 in Cadet, Missouri, a son of the late John Issac Pickett and the late Sarah (Eckhoff) Pickett. Henry passed away on December 5, 2023, having reached the age of 94.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children: Michael (Miranda) Pickett, John (Carla) Pickett, Jerry Pickett, Laura (Danny) Becker, George (Patti) Pickett; daughter-in-law, Lauri Pickett; former daughter-in-law, Sandy Pickett; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Faye Luther. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Helen "Leona" Pickett; children: Randy Pickett, Judy Pickett, and David "Buddy" Pickett; grandson, Rodney Lands; siblings: Jess Pickett, Bertha Rowden, and Catherine "Pooch" Luther.

Henry was well-known as one who could weld anything, and he did it well. Any chance he could get, he would be found hunting, especially rabbit and squirrel hunting. He loved his kids and grand kids very much and will be missed dearly by his family.

A Graveside Service will be held on December 30, 2023 at 11 am, at Hopewell Cemetery. Pastor Matt Woods will officiate Henry’s service. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6996.
