Janet Faye Parmley

December 9, 1951 — June 23, 2023

Janet Faye Parmley of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on December 9, 1951, in Cherryville, Missouri, a daughter to the late Floyd Edgar and Hazel (Martin) Edgar.

On June 20, 1969, Janet was united in marriage to Jerry Leo Parmley by Bro. Bob DeClue in Cadet, Missouri. They were married for almost 53 years at the time of Jerry’s passing. Four children were born to this union.

Janet was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a stay-at-home mom and took great pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow. She loved going on car rides on backroads, doing word searches, watching Gunsmoke, and listening to music, especially Joey & Rory Feek Gospel. When she couldn’t make it to church, she enjoyed watching Joel Osteen and reading her Bible.

Janet accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Breton Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She later became a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Janet was a sweet, loving woman, who made the best blackberry cobbler! She will be forever loved and greatly missed by many.

Janet departed this life on Friday, June 23, 2023, at her home having reached the age of 71 years, 6 months, and 14 days.
