Glenn "Chawpappy" Missey

June 15, 1952 — February 17, 2021

Glenn David Missey, also known by family and friends as "ChawPappy", was born on June 15, 1952, a son of the late Gerald and Laura Missey. ChawPappy departed this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 having reached the age of 68 years, 8 months, and 2 days.

On October 7, 1978, ChawPappy was united in marriage to Sharon Oesch and they shared 42 years together.

Those who remain to cherish ChawPappy's memory include his beloved wife, Sharon Missey; step-daughter, Wendy Heckman; brother, Robert Missey; In-Laws: Barbara Stude, Robert and Jane Oesch, and Annette Oesch. ChawPappy is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

In addition to his father and mother, ChawPappy was preceded in death by four siblings: Gene Coulter, Wilma Lyons, Margie Hager, and Everette Skaggs; In-Laws: Lott "Bud" Oesch, and Noel Oesch.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 from 4:30 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. A Masonic Service will be held Monday evening at 6:30 pm.

A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125. Full Military Honors will be presented by the United States Army, consisting of TAPS, flag folding and presentation, and gun salute.

*Due to health concerns, face masks will be required per the families request.
