George Jackson of Boss, Missouri was born on December 23, 1946, in Bonne Terre, MO. He was the son of the late Robert William Jackson and Dorothy Rossetta Bowen. George entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 2, 2024, having reached the age of 77 years old.
Early in his life, George accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, and soon following his commitment he was baptized. George found peace in God’s creation. He could often be found watching wildlife from his porch while enjoying a cup of coffee. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent lots of time hunting, fishing, and camping. On October 11, 1975, George married his beloved wife Norma together they welcomed their son Chris Jackson. George was not only a devoted husband and father, he was also a loving grandfather.
Those who remain to cherish George’s memory include his son, Chris Jackson (wife, Julie); grandson, Andrew Jackson; and siblings: Robert Jackson (wife, Kay) and Patricia McMillen (husband, William). George also leaves behind many extended family and friends.
In addition to his father and mother, George is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lee (Moss) Jackson on September 2, 2016.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at DeClue Funeral Home, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Services will be held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Pastor Charles Younger will officiate George’s service. Interment to follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
