Deborah Diane Daugherty

Deborah Diane “Diane” Daugherty of Richwoods, Missouri, departed this life peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 75. Diane was born on July 24, 1951, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to the late Carl Shirley and Lillian (Brewer) Shirley.

On January 9, 2009, Diane was united in marriage to Martin J. Daugherty. They shared 17 wonderful years together, making many cherished memories along the way.

Diane had a passion for collecting and could find joy in many treasures, including arrowheads, marbles, and other unique items. She was also the proud owner and operator of Diane’s Bar in House Springs, where she gained many years of valuable business experience and made lasting connections with those around her.

One of Diane’s greatest joys was riding her Harley Davidson with Martin. Together, they traveled through several states, enjoying the scenery and the freedom of the open road. Spearfish, South Dakota, held a special place in Diane’s heart and was one of her favorite destinations.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Martin Daugherty; her two sons, Scott (Tara) Fitzgerald and Shane McMullin; three grandsons, Chase Fitzgerald, Brendan Fitzgerald, and Deven McMullin; two great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Debbie Shirley, along with her children.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Shirley.

Diane leaves behind a lifetime of memories and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In accordance with Diane’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
