David Wayne Volner

David Wayne Volner, born on August 26, 1969, in Potosi, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

David was deeply passionate about the outdoors. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, often participating in fishing tournaments at Council Bluff Lake and Sunnen Lake. His love for nature and adventure shaped many cherished memories and experiences throughout his life.

He leaves behind his father, Mike Volner, and his two children, Alisha Volner and Lily Volner. David was also a proud grandfather to one grandson. He is survived by his sister, Sherri Johner, and her husband, Ron. Additionally, he will be missed by his nephews, Jeremy Coleman and Cameron Coleman, and his wife, Allie.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Volner, and his grandparents, Herbert and Cletta Volner.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 9:30 am until 11 am at DeClue Family Funeral Home, located at 301 E High Street, Potosi, MO 63664. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, following the visitation at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Interment and final prayers will take place at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi.  

David Wayne Volner will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and the time spent with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
