David William Pischel III, was born on April 16, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away at his residence in Courtois, Missouri, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the age of 74.

David was the son of the late David W. Pischel Jr. and Galena A. (Midgett) Pischel. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years, Carol Pischel, along with his nephew, Joel Dyhouse. David also had many dear relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

Throughout his life, David was known for his kindness and love for all creatures, particularly his cats. He was deeply involved in the TNR (trap-neuter-return) Program, dedicating his time and effort to caring for stray cats and animals in need. His huge heart brought warmth to those around him along with his beautiful smile.

David had a distinguished career, retiring from Chrysler after approximately 31 years of dedicated service. His commitment and hard work were evident throughout his professional life. In addition to his career accomplishments, David proudly served in the United States Army, experiencing life in both Saudi Arabia and Germany. Additionally, David was a member of UAW 136 Retirees and Normandy High School Alumni Association.

In his earlier years, David was known for his athleticism, particularly in playing softball, where he was recognized as one of the fastest players on the field. He was a member of the Eagles Club of Viburnum, where he enjoyed camaraderie and fellowship.

He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and his impact on the lives he touched will continue to resonate in their hearts. Arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care of DeClue Funeral Home.
