David Marler

David Hubert Marler of Potosi, Missouri, was born on August 25, 1953 in Potosi, Missouri, a son to the late Hubert Marler and Jessie Lahmann Marler. David passed away on March 14, 2021 having reached the age of sixty-seven years, six months and twenty days.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Dixie L Dix Marler; mother, Jessie Lorene Marler; children: Jason Marler and Fiance Jaimie Counter, and Jessica Skinner; grandchildren: Troy Skinner, Collin Marler, Draven Marler, Piper Marler, Logan Counter, and Libby Counter; in-laws: Harold (Patti) Dix, and Mary (Tom) Ferguson; sisters: Anna (Jeff) Dunham, Alice (Brad) Adams, Patti (John) Pyatt.

David was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Marler, and siblings, Beverly (Harvey) Jones.

David had a true love for God, his family and singing for the Lord. On a nice summer day you could find him on the boat with his wife enjoying the lake if the fish were biting or not. He was always up for a nice round of golf as a hunting trip with friends or family and would spend endless hours listening to his favorite songs. He always had a melody in his heart and had a gift of sharing his love of God through song.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 4:30 pm to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, Missouri 63664. Visitation will resume from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 1 pm at DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dwight Petete officiating.
