David Hollinsworth

David McCoy Hollinsworth of Fredericktown, Missouri, was born on August 29, 1956 in Potosi Missouri, a son of the late Leonard Hollinsworth and Delores Faye (Eye) Lewis. David passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, having reached the age of 67.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children: Niki Wann (Fiance, Sam White), David Hollinsworth (Samantha Goesmann), Melissa Robertson (Husband, Andy); grandchildren: Kaimen Hollinsworth, Kyle Hollinsworth, Dylan Rea, Madison Rea, Ally, Ziva, Xanastasia; brothers: Robert "Rob" Lewis (wife, Michelle Burkard), John Hollinsworth; uncles and aunts: Stanley and Donna Eye, Elaine and Marvin Mercer, Boyd and Doris Eye, Ronnie and Millie Eye, Cleo Eye; and his beloved dog, Cash. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lynn Hollinsworth.

David, a man of the great outdoors, spent time hunting and going on hikes. He also loved good company, especially by his loyal canine companion, Cash. A devoted family man, he cherished every moment spent with loved ones and created countless memories on family adventures. He also enjoyed sharing laughter and camaraderie with his friends at the local bar. David will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for life and the simple joys it brought will never be forgotten.


A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at DeClue Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Elder Mike Jarvis will officiate his service. Interment will follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery in Potosi. Military honors will be presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6947.
