Rev. David Bridgeman

Rev. David Calvin Bridgeman, of Ebo, Missouri, went to his Heavenly Home and was united with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the age of 73. Dave as many of his family and friends knew him as, was born on March 9, 1951 in Sullivan, Missouri.


Dave dedicated his life to the Lord in May of 1970 at Potosi First Assembly of God. On September 8, 1972, Dave was united in marriage to Annanell Harper, and together, they built a wonderful family. He began pastoring in 1978 and continued in the ministry for 45 years. Dave was a Bible Scholar and used his biblical knowledge to teach Sunday School for many years. Dave was a steadfast servant of the Lord and his ministry touched numerous lives. In addition to his time in ministry, Dave also served as a school bus driver for approximately 20 plus years for both Potosi R-3 and Richwoods School Districts.


Those who remain to treasure his memory include his wife of 52 years, Annanell (Harper) Bridgeman; three sons: Amiel Bridgeman (wife, Corinne) of Belgrade, David Bridgeman (wife, Tiffany) of Potosi, and Jonathan Bridgeman of Potosi; two daughters: Amy Frago (husband, Jason) of Park Hills, and Elizabeth Pyatt (husband, Kenny) of Bismarck; sixteen grandchildren: Seth, Alex, Bethany, Felicia, Diana, Emma (husband, Eli), Becca, Paisley, Anna, Haylee, Levi (wife, Madison), Bentley, Jaxon, Liam, Moon, and Stella; two great grandchildren: Adeline and Ellie Mae. Dave also leaves behind his siblings: Bonnie Studdard Kirk (husband, Bobby) of Cuba, Mary Studdard Nelson (husband, Larry) of Bourbon, Frank Studdard of Sullivan, Beverly Studdard Robb of Bourbon, Lisa Studdard Junge (husband, Randy) of Sullivan, Neil Studdard of Sullivan; additional siblings: Junior Mercer (wife, Teresa) of Bourbon, Bobby Mercer (wife, Sarah) of Sullivan, Glen Mercer of Owensville, Clifton Mercer of Cuba, Connie Mercer Baum (husband, Harry) of Kansas City, Margaret Mercer Buckner of Doniphan, and Patsy Mercer Payne (husband), Rick of Sullivan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.


Dave was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence Studdard and Laura Jane (Bridgeman) Studdard; four siblings: Leroy Mercer, Wayne Mercer, Ronnie Mercer, and Carol Mercer Foster; and two brothers-in-law: Sonny Lamkey and Jim Robb.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Bismarck Church of God Missions Department. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at Reviving Hope Church of God on Thursday, October 10th from 9 am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11 am. Kenny Pyatt, Dave's son-in-law, will be officiating. Interment and final prayers will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
