Clara Mae Milam of Belgrade, Missouri was born on August 9, 1943, in Brawley, California, a daughter of the late William Lee Gilmore and the late Maudie (Warden) Gilmore. Clara went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 11, 2022, having reached the age of seventy-nine years one month, and two days.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children: William (Sandra) Milam, Barbara (Bob) Aubuchon, Sandra (Jerry) Cartrette, Kathryn (Greg) Boyer and Jonnie (Carl) Jones; twelve grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; siblings: Glen (Ann) Gilmore, Ray (Pat) Gilmore. Clara was also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Clara Mae was preceded in death by her husband, William “Dub” Milam on September 30, 2021, and many brothers, sisters, and dear family.
Clara Mae loved to sew all types of items from patching a pair of pants to quilting beautiful quilts. Clara Mae also loved family gatherings and cooking. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family around the campfire and going fishing, especially with her grand kids. When able, Clara Mae enjoyed attending church at Liberty Baptist in Belgrade. Clara Mae was a caring, loving, generous, happy lady.
A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2022, from 11 am to 12 pm at Liberty Baptist Church, 14014 State Highway C, Belgrade, 63622. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 12 pm, officiated by Pastor Lloyd Pierce.
