Christian Leon “Chris” Reynolds of Park Hills, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the age of 82. He was born on May 30, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son to the late Theodore and Irene (Hulsey) Reynolds.
Chris served his country proudly in the United States Army from December 31, 1958 through December 30, 1964 where most of his time was spent in France. On June 16, 1979, Chris was united in marriage to Marjorie Sikes. Chris retired in 1999 from General Motors after 30 years. Shortly after retirement, he went to work for Boyer Funeral Home and served in the funeral industry for 22 years. Chris was a member of the Bonne Terre Masonic Lodge #2164. He had the best sense of humor and loved making people laugh. In fact, for several years, Chris participated in the Shriners Circus as a clown. Chris loved southern gospel music and sang with many gospel groups through the years and came to know many popular favorites, personally. Chris loved the Lord. He attended Life Church of Farmington along with his wife Margie. Chris’ family is comforted in knowing that his faith and everything he sang about has now become his sight.
In addition to his parents, Chris was also preceded in death by his infant son, Dennis Reynolds; step daughter, Michelle Miller; two sisters: Ann Mahr and Lyda Smothermon; and his grandson, Justin Miller.
Those who remain to treasure his memory include his wife of 44 years, Margie Reynolds; two daughters: Sandra Renee Reynolds and Kristie Ann Reynolds; step son, Marc Jacob Miller; brothers: Henry “Junior” Reynolds and William “Bill” Reynolds (wife, Blanche); and sister-in-law, Carolyn (Sikes) Hahn. Chris also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends and acquaintances he has met through the years.
First Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri, 63664.
Second Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 28th from 9 am until the time of his Funeral Service at 10 am, held at Life Church of Farmington. Pastor Leon Miller will be officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Chris will receive full military honors presented by the U.S. Army.
