Bonnie Jean Eye, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished maw maw, daughter, sister, and friend went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, February 25, 2024 after a long, valiant battle with sickness. Although her health took a major tole on her life, her joy remained steadfast. Bonnie was born on August 17, 1965, in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter to Joseph William Moses and the late Viola May (Missey) Moses.
On June 16, 1983 she married Donald V. Eye II at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church. They shared nearly 41 years together. Bonnie was a graduate of Potosi High School, Class of 1984.
Bonnie’s beauty flowed from the inside out. She had a strong Christian faith, a charming smile, and an infectious laugh. Bonnie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grand babies. In years past, Bonnie enjoyed many camping trips, reading old amish and Christian novels, fish fries and family dinners. On days when Bonnie felt well, she looked forward to taking side-by-side rides with Donnie. They would enjoy the afternoon together. In addition to her love for family, Bonnie had a passionate collection of Holiday Barbies and Angels. She loved watching the Home Shopping Network and QVC. Throughout the years, Bonnie’s desire to bless children and adults alike was evident through gift giving. One wouldn’t have to be family to receive gifts from her. Bonnie generous spirit graced each life she touched and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her beloved husband, Donald V. Eye II; son, Don Michael Eye (wife, Samantha); father, Joseph William “Bill” Moses; three grandchildren: Ariana, Zayden and Willow Eye; sister, Susie LaChance and Linzy Agnew; brother, Ronnie Moses (wife, Debbie); sisters-in-law: Charlotte Fish, Vanessa Draffen (husband, John), and Debbie Akins (husband, Randy); and many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her mother, Bonnie was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Violet Eye; brother-in-law, Mike Fish; nephew, Joseph “CJ” LaChance; and many other extended family members.
