Betty Berry

Betty Lynn Berry of Festus, Missouri, was born on June 2, 1961, in Normandy, Missouri, a daughter of the late George Vernon Mergenthal and Shirley Mae (Whitlock) Mergenthal. Betty passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, having reached the age of sixty years, six months, and nine days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children: Keith (Amy) Berry, Misty (Fiancé Steven Hanks) Guerra, Dustin Mergenthal, Bradley Mergenthal, Shawn Mergenthal, Josh Mergenthal, Gene Gibson; grandchildren: Kristopher, Kirsten, Travis, Juliette, Zadyn, Asher, Elijah, Serenity; siblings: Gordan, Karen, and Connie. Betty is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings: Debbie, George “Sonny”, Emma, Dennis, and Mary.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 4:30-7:00pm at DeClue Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7pm at the DeClue Memorial Chapel.
