Arlene Fay Fann of Hopewell, Missouri, was born on December 22, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late August Taylor and the late Tressie (Isgriggs) Taylor. Arlene went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, having reached the age of 89 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
Arlene was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert James Fann Sr. on May 28, 1949 and they shared 59 years of life and love together. Arlene was a longtime member of Hopewell Church of God. She truly loved Jesus. Arlene was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her son, Robert Fann, Jr. (wife, Rebecca); four grandchildren: Jason Butler, Robert James Fann III, Joseph Tyler Fann, and Ciarra Gross; four great grandchildren: Aristotle Butler, Nicholas Butler, Keegan Butler, and Everly Butler; sister, Lois Taylor-Wade; as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Fann Sr.; daughter, Brenda Sue Fann – Gross; three siblings: Gale Taylor, Mary Lou Woods, and Albert "Boots" Taylor; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Nolan and Edna Fann.
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 10:30 am until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 pm held at Hopewell Church of God, 10385 Old 8 D, Mineral Point, Missouri 63660. Rev. Jimmy Wade will be officiating. Interment and final prayers will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
